After their first and only Super Bowl win in 2002 against the Oakland Raiders, they have only been to the playoffs twice. In those two playoff games, they were both wildcard losses, one to the New York Giants, and one to the Washington Redskins. This team was the Tampa Buccaneers. The Bucs haven’t been to the playoffs in a decade. But this year will break that losing season streak. In the last five years, they have picked up an all star quarterback, Jameis Winston, a pro bowl player, Mike Evans, and many other prospects.

In this years off-season, the Buccaneers picked up Desean Jackson to pair with Mike Evans at wide receiver. That gives Winston an addition lethal target to fire the ball to. Their offense has a nasty duo for an amazing pass game. In addition to Jackson, we obtained a pass rusher from Washington. His name is Chris Baker and he is a threat to any pass based team. Those two players were really it in trading.

This years draft gave us every player we need. Being a Bucs fan since I was barely walking, I have never heard our tight end’s name ever. Last year it was Cameron Brate. But this year, we picked up O.J. Howard for the 19th pick in the 1st round. Howard was a phenomenal blocker and catcher last year. He gives the Buccaneers many opportunities for their offense.

Howard was supposed to go to the Jets for the 6th pick, but instead, they picked up the top safety. This gave the Bucs a superb tight end for their first pick. After picking up Jackson and O.J. Howard, the pass game for the Bucs went from a decent team, to a top contender for going to the playoffs and possibly making it all the way to the Super Bowl. Last years draft boosted their defense tremendously. they almost held the rising Dallas Cowboys to under 20 points to claim the victory, but in the last few minutes, they fell short.

2017 may be the year the Buccaneers will go all the way. These last few years have been building up from the dirt, into an amazing Super Bowl team. Like I said before, 2017 will be the year the Bucs will be on top.
