If you go on social media as much as the average teenager, you would know what this challenge is. Some call it the “KiKi Challenge” others say “In My Feelings Challenge.” On July 29 in the summer of 2018, singer/ songwriter Drake released a new album “Scorpion,” and on this album was a song called “In My Feelings.” This song became a hit everywhere.

The first line of the song says “KiKi do you love me, are you riding? Say you’ll never ever leave from beside me ‘Cause I want ya, and I need ya, and I’m down for you always…” Videos of people dancing to these lyrics were posted on social media sights such as Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and Facebook. This challenge was all fun and games but turned very dangerous when these people started to jump out of their moving vehicles to dance to this song.

Multiple people have gotten injured due to this Kiki Challenge. Many celebrities have influenced the public to partake in this challenge. For example, Will Smith, Odell Beckham Jr, Shay Mitchell, and Ciara. “Anna Worden, 18, had to be rushed to the intensive care unit after she became one of the many who have been injured while attempting the popular ‘Kiki Challenge,’ according to reports” (people.com). This goes to show how the internet can influence people to do dangerous things. “In recent weeks, some unlucky participants have been run over, fined or badly injured” (www.iol.co.za). This challenge can cause serious harm and it should be known.
