In the beginning of the movie Home Alone from John Hughes, Kevin causes quite the mess in his house. For a punishment, his mother makes him sleep in the attic. This results in him throwing a temper tantrum. “I wish my family would just disappear,” Kevin said. The McCallister family left for vacation to Paris, but they accidentally forgot one major thing: Kevin. Kevin McCallister, an eight year old from Illinois was left behind while the rest of his family was in Paris. After the McCallisters mistakenly leave for the airport without Kevin, he awakens to an empty house and assumes his wish to have no family has come true.

Kevin realizes he needs to become the man of the house when Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, the perfect comedy duo, try to rob the house. Two idiots who can’t rob the place because an eight-year-old child has out-witted them and set some very funny and extremely clever traps around the house.

“I enjoy watching Home Alone during the holidays because it is very funny. Although it is sad to see him get left behind, it is great to see him handle himself while he is home alone,Amari Stewart, Senior, said.

Home Alone is a very entertaining movie for any age. The plot is really unbelievable but who cares, its extremely funny! Home Alone is a classic Christmas comedy tradition!
